tdy_lauer_pauley_040830.300w.jpg Jane Pauley wasn’t too pleased when what she thought was an interview for the NYT on what she thought was going to be an article on mental health turned up in one of those full page pharmeceutical advertisements that try to look like articles.

Pauley seeks injunctive relief, damages, lost profits, costs and attorney’s fees for Defendants’ acts of wilful false designation of origin, false description and misrepresentation of fact, false advertising and endorsement, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, intent to deceive, fraud, and for knowingly violating her right of publicity, all in violation of the Lanham Act, and the common law and statutes of the State of New York.

The good news for the Times is she’s bipolar, so she’ll probably either change her mind about the whole thing in a few weeks or be too depressed to pursue it.
