Indie film actress Adrienne Shelly, 40, was found dead by her husband around 6:00 p.m. Wedneday hanging from a bedsheet from the shower rod in the couple’s West Village Apartment.
While the Daily News is reporting there were no signs of struggle, the Post is reporting that cops are investigating sneaker prints inside her bathtub that didn’t belong to Shelly.
Shelly’s most notable role was her debut role in Hal Hartley’s 1989 film, The Unbelievable Truth, she also played the lead in Hartley’s film Trust in 1990.
She recently appeared in Factotum with Matt Dillon and had written and directed a film called Waitress which starred Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion.
