Clement Calixte, 67, a Brooklyn landlord who had been feuding with the owners of the Indigo Blu Lounge in Prospect Park for trying to operate in his building, shot and killed a man who was helping the owners move out yesterday.
Calixte allegedly argued with the victim and then shot him in the back. It’s unclear what the argument was about or whether or not he knew that the victim did not work for the club.
The landlord was arrested at his apartment where his wife was understandably disturbed and confused by the entire situation.
“Forty-one years together and he doesn’t have a problem. I don’t know what to tell you,” she said.
