One would imagine that it may be hard to regain some of your students respect as a principal after they watch you get knocked out by a 14-year-old kid.
A 14-year-old boy at a Brooklyn junior high was charged with assault yesterday for allegedly socking it to his principal with a punch that sent the administrator falling to the floor.
Police are also looking for another boy who punched Principal Sheldon Toback while he was down and bloodied.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.Even at my mature, advanced age, it is hard not to root for the kid in this scenario. As long the principal ain’t hurt bad.

What did the principal do that would make anyone root for the kid? All Metadish and the linked article say is the kid decked the principal and another hit him when he was down.
Short of being physically assaulted by the principal first, I don’t get why anyone could reasonably root for the kid.
