Rudy Giuliani took his first official step to running for president yesterday when he filed the necessary paperwork to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc.
Rudy didn’t however waste any time shrouding his campaign in mystery.
Instead of filing with the Federal Elections Commission, which has strict disclosure guidelines, the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee Inc. was created with the New York Department of State - meaning the public can’t access information about how much he’s raised and from whom. McCain, by contrast, is expected to file his exploratory committee with the FEC.
Hmm, gee that’s strange. Wonder why Giuliani doesn’t want you to know where his money is coming from? *coughcorporateinterestscough*.
