1,213 New York kids between the ages of 8 and 18 were asked this. 65% of the 8 to 12 year olds said money while 74% of those aged 13 to 18 said the same.
“So much of their life is dependent on their social standing and a lot of that social standing is ‘my cellphone, my great pair of jeans,’ so it’s not surprising that money is at the top of the list,” said Harris Interactive researcher Suzanne Martin, who worked on the study.
They are children after our own hearts.
