Former Governor Pataki seems to think so. That is why he chartered a $10,721 luxury flight for a trip to Lynchburg, VA, where he ceremoniously traveled to inspect the steel columns being used for the new World Trade Center on December 8.
The State Comptroller’s office, headed by Thomas Sanzilo, has blocked payment of the flight once it was determined that a much less expensive plane could have been used.
It seems like Pataki had a bit of addiction to renting luxury planes, which, during his term, he spent over $100,000 on in the 1990’s. He swore he would never do it again.
Hey, we think Pataki deserves nothing but the best.
