Beyonce’s dad was not too happy when his daughter did not win a Golden Globe. He even came up with the theory that it is because she is black. It’s a statement that is appropriate in various situations; just not this one because Jennifer Hudson did win one.
Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton right after the Golden Globes show ended that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. “Today is MLK’s birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go,” he said.”
Our theory is that the world is just not ready for the wonder that is Beyonce. She is years ahead of her time.
At least she looked really good and flashy.

Maybe he, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can come up with some type of awards show that caters to people of color. Oh right. The NAACP already did that. Well let’s see if B. wins something there, or if her (dare I say) more talented and darker-skinned co-star takes that one away from her, too.

Nope. Lost to a white woman.
But I can see his point. It would be one thing if she lost to someone with talent, but to loose to a no-talent hack like Meryl Streep…. Well, clearly the vote was racially motivated.
And since the other black actress nominated won in her category it just goes to, uh, prove his point. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Lale, could not agree more. After Hudson, Eddie Murphy, and Forrest Whitikar took home awards, (I think Prince won something too), saying that the voting was racist was just….dare I say it… “An Al Sharpton move”…
Let’s see….Beyonce plays a famous singing Diva in the movie…. I am not a voter by any means, but could the reason for her not winning be that there was no “real acting” being done on her part?

He have a lot of nerve. MK & Jay-z have been beating down black women for many years, trying to but Bee on top. What Bee don’t realize is Jay-z is “GAY” or shall I say “DOWN_LOW”. She think he have been helping her smash down on Janet Jackson to put her on the top. She have a real awaking coming real soon. Jay_Z wants to be Janet. His lover LUDA sold he ass for $5.99 to put the DL”s on a record chart. It’s sad that Black Men are hating on Miss Janet Jackson, MTV is just capitalizing on it. Look at the photos of you and jay at the game bee. He showing you that he wants to be the girl. Look at his hands and body movement, or profile. Only girls put there hands on there knees and bat there eyes, not boys. Jay-Z wants to be Janet Jackson, that’s why he is buying his own CD to land at the top of the charts. Who’s on FROBES LIST ?

i really don’t think the foreign press association can be called an “good old boy system.” and why in the hell should he care that his daughter didn’t win a golden globe? hes gonna be really upset when the oscars don’t nominate her for anything.
