The City Health Commissioner, Thomas Frieden, has decided to boost tourism in New York while handing out condoms, which will be held in packages that resemble images from subway lines, to combat AIDS. Why not?
The city already hands out 18 million condoms a year, now they just want to change the way they look.
This idea has received approval by the city Health Department, which now has a $1.57 million contract with Ansell-Lifestyle. This price includes 20 million condoms that will come with packets of lubricants.
“Brands work, and people use branded items more than they use non-branded items, whether it’s a cola or a medicine even,” Frieden said. “Brands add value, and they increase use.”
Have these people ever even had sex? Although we don’t condone not using condoms, we find it hard to believe that the packaging is the main reason people aren’t using them.

Want a neat little picture by your comments? Get one here.Maybe if the condoms came with a coupon good for one free session of sex, they would get used. I don’t know- I’m not from New York.
