The definition, according to Dictionary.com, is “To defeat of expectation or hope.” This may hit a little too close to home for Micah Jordan who, after much faith was put in his supposed large vocabulary, failed all of New York when he allowed Wisconsin to win the title of “kid with best vocab.”
He believes the word that best describes his loss is downtrodden because, as he said, “”I feel like I just got stepped on.”
We like how he is totally playing victim and not taking ownership of the fact that he let us all down.
(Just kidding, Micah! You totally did an awesome job).
