The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene are not dicking around anymore. Ever since the rat party was caught on film, they are going to catch every single violation and shut down all the restaurants in New York. There is no way anyone is going to ever get a passing grade.
Last Wednesday, Coffee Shop was closed after it failed its annual inspection.
Everyone’s up in arms about it and feel like the NYC Department of Health has gone too far. The general consensus is that it’s ok to shut down the restaurant where unattractive people eat, but please don’t F with the beautiful people.
Only the people who are not cool enough are happy that the place was shut down because they are bitter.
Mike Bael, who was described by the New York Times as “a squat man with frizzy hair in a ponytail,” said, “I’ve always found it to be an incredibly snobbish place. If you look like that guy, you get served fine. My wife and I always get stuck in the back near a bunch of loud families and have to wait forever to get our order taken. The food’s O.K. One time we looked around and all the people with scarves and British accents were in the front.”
According to New York Times:
In the case of the Coffee Shop, inspectors cited a range of violations, totaling 120 points. Although 28 is a failing grade, there is no official threshold to trigger a closing; the decision is made based on several factors, after inspectors check with their supervisors. The most serious problems cited involved refrigeration units and the sinks for hand washing. An inspector found that the Coffee Shop had not adequately refrigerated 20 pounds of raw hamburger, 20 packages of butter, 2 gallons of whole milk, 60 pounds of cooked chicken broth, 20 pounds of cured pork butt pieces, 4 pounds of roasted chicken halves, 3 pounds of tuna salad and 4 pounds of “cooked beef pieces.”
There were no rodent citations.
A sign pasted on the door reads, “It seems that due to the intense media coverage of a certain fast food restaurant and the scandal surrounding the NYC Department of Health, they are now trying to save face and set examples.”
The Department of Health has no idea what they are in for; pretty people may look all innocent, but they are super dangerous.
