Simon Cowell was once offered $100,000 to watch a moderately attractive couple have sex and critique them. He turned down the offer, but he regrets it now because it would’ve been a good story. We, on the other hand, would’ve regretted it because we wouldn’t have the $100,000 OR the memories of watching two people “do it.”

According to PageSix:

“I stupidly turned it down,” Cowell now says regretfully. “I should’ve taken the money, because it would be a much more interesting story now,” he says.

The incident occurred just as Cowell was becoming famous for his caustic comments on “American Idol,” as he was dining in a Hollywood restaurant.

He says he was approached by a “respectable” looking man who asked him if he did things for money.

“I said it depends on how much and he said he wanted me to come to his house and comment on him and his wife in bed.

“They were both in their fifties and he was going to pay me $100,000 for it.”

Isn’t it odd that his first response after being asked, “do you do things for money?” was, “it depends on how much?” Call us crazy, but we would think, “what do you mean by ‘things” would’ve been a more appropriate question. Maybe it isn’t. Maybe Simon Cowell does give random hand jobs for the right amount of money.
