Drug dealers should probably know better than to give $4,000 worth of cocaine to three Long Island men because they will probably do something dumb like not have enough money to pay the $4.50 toll at the Triborough Bridge.

This is exactly what happened Sunday afternoon when Jesus Cancal (the driver), George Perez (his friend) and Jason Kadlec (his other friend) tried to drive from the Bronx to Manhattan.

When the officer asked for Cancal’s driver’s license so that he could send him the bill, he was give an expired learner’s permit with eight prior suspensions, which we think might actually make it illegal for him to drive.

While Cancal was being arrested, three cops approached the car and saw Perez freaking out in the back seat. When he exited the car, after being ordered to by the police, bountiful packages of cocaine fell off of his lap and into theirs. They found more coke and $300 worth of angel dust in his pocket. In total, 110 packets of coke, worth $3,000 to $4,000 was found in the car.

Apparently, these dudes were ready to rage.

But, the real mystery is, what they were planning to do with all that coke on a Sunday afternoon. Call me naive, but isn’t cocaine more of a Friday or Saturday night thing?

Cocaine won’t pay for tolls, dummies! [New York Daily News]
