While the social and racial implications of the Imus fallout seem to be fairly obvious, another, perhaps more subtle battle is brewing as a result of Imus’ comments. A line in the sand has been drawn, and neither side seems willing to relent.
This could in fact be a battle that rages on for decades, nay, centuries to come.
The battle of the copywriters.
The Post, a conservative rag chose to go with the hyphen between “nappy” and “headed”
While the slightly more liberal News made the possibly more risky move of using the hyphen between “headed” and “hos”
First the Imus thing and now this? Man, it’s been a bad week all around for nappy headed hos.
