Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis was arrested today at the Panama City airport on a warrant seeking his arrest for criminal contempt of court. Francis claims he was on his way to turn himself in when airport police recognized him and placed him under arrest.
People is reporting that the warrant stems from last week when a judge ordered his arrest after Francis reportedly changed the terms reached in a 2003 lawsuit in which seven women accused him of victimizing them by filming them in sexual situations while they were on spring break.
Isn’t that like every episode of Girls Gone Wild? Honestly, do we really want to set a legal precedent that says that vulnerable, barely legal, intoxicated women with low self-esteem can’t be victimized by a guy with a video camera? This is still America right?
