MTV’s new sketch comedy troupe The Human Giant seems to be following the old adage, “there’s no such thing as bad publicity”.
In the sketch featured above, Shutterbugs, “Hollywood’s top child talent agents”, come up with the idea to make a movie version of the events of 9/11 with children, a.k.a. Lil’ 9/11.
Is it too soon? Well it’s hard for us to be unbiased since one of our writers (in a now defunct version of the site) in 2002 wrote a satirical article about a plan for rebuilding Lower Manhattan wherein “vintage television actor Dick Sargent would be hired as a replacement for the World Trade Center.”
One thing you can be sure of is that the above sketch will more than likely generate its fair share of controversy and along with it, publicity. We can only hope that because of or despite sketches like this The Human Giant remains funny and has success on MTV so they can stop showing the Real World vs. Road Rules 47 times a day.

That’s still one of my favorite all time articles ever. I know you used to save hard copies of all your stuff (in retrospect that was an awesome idea). Do you still have that?

This isn’t offensive at all. Only for those who still believe 19 hijackers did 9/11, of course.

Yeah, like the real gwb would dare take on OBL in a cave on his own without a legion of troops to back him up.
Cute kid, though.
