A who’s who of the New York socialite scene including, Fabiola Beracasa, Stella Keitel, Stella Schnabel, designer Catherine Malandrino and “it-girls” Tinsley Mortimer and Amanda Hearst are going all Lindsay to promote a cause.
The cause? Innocence in Danger, a UNESCO initiative to battle child sex trafficking.
And what better way to get the word out about child sex trafficking than…wait for it…wait for it…a “princess race”. What exactly is a princess race you ask? Well it’s two days of competitive “surfing, canoeing, golfing and Jet-Skiing”. We don’t know about you but we already feel more aware about child sex trafficking.
Organizer Vanessa Duquesnes said the ladies are each expected to donate between $1,000 and $2,000 to the cause after the event, although no one checks. And they’ll be getting their money’s worth! A “Reward Ceremony” will be held April 28 to distribute prizes, including a $3,000 Cartier watch to the lucky winner.
Hang on children being trafficked for sex! Your plight will be over in a matter of weeks, just meet the wealthy socialite “princesses” in the Bahamas, they’ll take care of everything!
