Days after this video, of a German Army officer instructing a soldier to imagine that he is in Bronx facing a group of hostile black men as he shoots his rifle, made a big splash over internet airwaves, the German Defense Ministry announced that it has dismissed the officer involved. ABC reports.
I know we are all shocked that a German could do something racist, but maybe we should be flattered that the one-time most powerful army in the world needs to emulate the operations of our city to train their soldiers.
And hey, at least they are only talking about being a racist police force.
In the meantime, Detective Mike Oliver of the NYPD, who is on trial for firing his gun 31 times at an unarmed Sean Bell, killing him, and wounding two friends, is still considered an employee of the New York Police Department pending results of that trial.
Irony is a bitch, huh?
