If you’re like us then you probably can’t stand you a dirty hippy. Especially one from San Francisco eating Ben & Jerry’s with their fingers and acting all snooty about the environment. Yeah you know the ones we’re talking about.
But today’s report on New York City’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions, which states that NYC produces 1% of the United States’ greenhouse gases, while housing 2.7% of its population, seems to suggest we’ve really got something good going here.
Closer examination of the report, which I am still reading, reveals that our enviro-friends out in San Francisco emit 11.2 metric tons of greenhouse gases per capita, to our 7.1.
Take that hippies!

Get one here.i live in oakland and i couldn’t agree with you more about san francisco and berkeley hippies. i’m all for preserving the environment, but nothing gets me as much as snooty hippies and snooty foodies (we’re bursting at the seams with them here). so props to nyc for one upping cali on this one!

i am not a fan of any hippies, snooty or not. Fortunately, i only have to run into the occasional one at my annual Peter, Paul and Mary concert.
