“Girls Gone Wild” producer Joe Francis (the man that discovered the now infamous formula: girls drinking + video camera = pornography), after already spending 13 days in jail awaiting his hearing, was sentenced to an additional 22 days for criminal contempt after he failed to appear for a April 5 court date to settle a pending lawsuit in which seven underage “Girls Gone Wild” sluts participants have accused him of exploitation (duh!). Yahoo! News continues:
Francis was picked up by U.S. marshals at the Panama City, Florida, airport Apr. 10 while en route to turn himself in to authorities after missing a court-ordered surrender date of Apr. 5. He’s been in Bay County Jail ever since.
At his hearing yesterday, sources reveal that Francis cried like a baby and pleaded with U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak not to hit him with the contempt charge.
Among Francis other laundry list of offenses (besides just being a creep): One day prior to his April 10 incarceration, Francis was brought up on federal tax evasion charges after siphoning off $15 million in revenue into offshore bank accounts. Additionally, Francis has been charged with six counts of possessing a controlled substance, prescription sleeping pills, turned up in a search of his prison cell after he tried to bribe a prison guard $500 for a bottle of water.
The next entry in Francis’ filmography will be: “Prisons Gone Wild: Porn Producers Getting Ass Raped.”
A Socialite’s Life is also covering.
