Apparently Boost energy drink (a.k.a. liquid Viagra) comes with some unadvertised benefits/side effects.
A 29-year-old Harlem man is suing Novartis pharmaceutical company, the makers of Boost, claiming that after drinking their protein shakes he was left with a painful “erection that would not subside”.
In his lawsuit, Christopher Woods is claiming “severe bodily injuries” after drinking him some Boost on June 5th, 2004.
The 29-year-old Harlem man awoke a day later with an unrelenting erection that, according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, needed to be treated with a shunt.
I’m not exactly sure what a shunt is but it sounds pretty damn painful.
After a week of persistent problems Woods went back to the hospital where he was forced to undergo an embolization to stem the flow of blood to his wang.
The lawsuit claims that Woods experienced “pain, shock and mental anguish” as a result of his week long woody.
Boost’s website boasts, “Boost Plus is ready when you are, wherever you are.” Apparently, literally wherever you are, no matter whether you’re ready or not.
In other news, Boost’s stock just went through the roof for the over 50 market.

Couldn’t imagine if I would be freaked out or pumped. I saw this story that interviews the guy http://collegecandy.com/body/3391. They put a funny spin and offer new details, pretty much a must read.
