Kendra may not be the prettiest or the brightest of Hef’s four girlfriends but she’s definitely the most sensitive and she definitely has the worst complexion. I guess that’s why she’s so anxious.
Wilkinson is upset that Hef didn’t defend her like he said he would after a slightly unflattering article came out in Elle magazine about Hef’s girl’s show on E! “The Girls Next Door”.
The article referred to Kendra as, “giving off a palpable air of anxiety” and saying her fake breasts were her “best investment.
The article’s writer, Daphne Merkin also refers to Kendra’s “fleeting attention span,” her “dazed personality and limited vocabulary” and quotes Hef talking about her “distinctly unintellectual charm” by mockingly saying, “Books? What books?”
When Hef took the girls on Larry King Live a couple of weeks ago, Kendra mentioned the article saying, “a magazine article that just came out…it hurt my feelings and it really, like, crushed my heart. And Hef being such a great guy, he said, ‘You know what, Kendra? I was going to write them a letter and say, like, how this is wrong.’ [The article] wasn’t really nice . . . People like to pick on me.”
Apparently that’s not quite what the letter actually said, “I just finished reading your article . . . and think it’s the best, most perceptive piece on the show to date . . . I hope you get a chance to do a longer story for the New York Times or The New Yorker.”
Sounds like somebody is going to need some Klonopin really soon.
