In the ongoing litany of lawsuits by people who were made to look like complete asses in the Borat movie, a financial analyst from New York has filed a federal lawsuit against 20th Century Fox for stealing his likeness for commercial gain and “cashing in on his humiliation”.
Jeffery Lemerond, better known as the guy running away from Borat like a little girl when approached in Midtown, is all in a tizzy that everyone now knows what a mary he is (no offense ladies).
“He saw some guy he didn’t want anything to do with approaching him and reacted instinctively,” said attorney Richard Emery. “He was depicted as a fool, which he’s the furthest thing from.
His first “instinct” when some guy talked to him on the street was to run away, flailing his arms screaming “get away” and he’s admitting this in open court?
The lawsuit in fact claims that the film depicts Lemerond running away from Cohen in “apparent terror”. Umm, yeah. That’s not apparent terror, that’s the real thing.
In case you haven’t seen the movie you can see Lemerond’s infamous scene in the trailer.
You got caught, on tape, running like a girl from a some dude on the street. Get over it. Stop clogging up the courts to try and get rich because you’re embarrassed about being embarrassed.
