Yesterday we ran a piece about some people showing up at a Shepard Fairey exhibit with copies of the Splasher Manifesto titled, “if we did it, this is how it would have happened”. An homage to the infamous OJ book that was never released.
Jake Dobkin over at Gothamist received a copy of the manifesto which he describes as “14 pages of total insanity”.
Somehow Jake managed to pick up on the strange, DaVinci code like mystery and follow a trail that will eventually lead to the downfall of all of our innermost thoughts.
First » Jake received a link to a magazine article written by one Zach Dempster » he then Googled aforementioned Zach Dempster » He then found Zach Dempster’s MySpace and Facebook accounts » which obviously led him to Zach Dempster’s Flickr account which had on it a splasher-esque quote on it. Leaving Dobkin with no other choice than to finger Zach as the Splasher. Quite elementary actually.
There’s actually a lot more to it than that but it’s all over our head. Go over and read Jake’s Manifesto on the Splasher Manifesto.
