Canadian White Stripes fans are easily amused. In order to be able to say that they played in every province and territory in Canada the White Stripes held one of their “super secret surprise” concerts and played exactly one note.
The Canadian crowd went wild and begged for more chanting “one more note, one more note”. I’m fairly certain that had this “concert” taken place in the U.S. it probably would have elicited a slightly different fan reaction.

I thought it was a funny publicity stunt. It should be known that these one-note free shows were followed by real concerts at real venues.

Yeah, I guess knowing that there was going to be a concert later probably made it a lot more palatable for the fans.
Thanks for the info.
