Mayor Michael Bloomberg has officially put an end to rumors that he may seek the presidency in the upcoming election. Some estimated that a potential bid for the White House could cost the Mayor upwards of $1 billion. Bloomberg had decided that the money would be better applied elsewhere.
I have an idea Mike! How about investing in a way that relaxes New York housing costs! How about it? It’s getting impossible to live here! $2500 for studios in Queens? Plunk it down, Mikey. You can do it!
The Mayor said about the bid for President:
“I listened carefully to those who encouraged me to run, but I am not — and will not be — a candidate for president,” he wrote. “I have watched this campaign unfold, and I am hopeful that the current campaigns can rise to the challenge by offering truly independent leadership.”

Quite the hot dog, that Mayor Bloomberg
