The big search from Fox Searchlight Pictures is over, and it’s confirmed that they now have a Mr. Smalls. Fox Searchlight will be making a film about the life and times of Notorious BIG, who will be played by Jamal Woolard. Anthony Mackie will play Tupac Shakur and Derek Luke will play Sean Combs.
The studio would not comment on a rumor that emerged that “Diddy” was vying behind closed doors to play himself. He argued that after his self-proclaimed Oscar worthy performance in A Raisin in the Sun, he can play anything. He even offered to “know what I’m sayin’, botox my way to my 23 year old self, know what I’m sayin”. Combs further argued “you know what I’m saying, every breathe I take and sh*t, know what I mean, I be missing that fool. I be like, what’s good Fox?
