“The thing about the press and why they need to leave me the [bleep] alone for a little bit is because I don’t want that distraction from my work. I want to get a nomination. I want to win an Oscar. I want to be known for more than, like, going out. For being ‘the party girl.’ I hate that. I bust my [bleep] when I’m filming, and when I gave time off, yeah, I like to go out and dance.”

Not for nothing but she sounds sort of high in that interview. Maybe it’s just us.

If we ever even considered it, we might conclude that she considered Ellen to be neither here nor there. We were dead wrong (literally) about that one. She has such strong feelings about the comedian’s performance at the Oscars that she reached out from the great beyond to voice her opinion.

According to Starpulse:

In a seance staged by psychic to the stars Kenny Kingston after the Oscars on Sunday night, a number of dead stars reached out to their late pal - and many had nothing but high praise for the way DeGeneres hosted the Academy Awards.

Kingston says, “Lucille Ball was particularly complimentary about Ellen and told me she thought Ellen should be the permanent host of the Oscars.”

But it was the bombshell that was to follow that floored Kingston, who was once hired to guide Bette Davis and Marilyn Monroe spiritually.

He adds, “I wasn’t expecting it, but Lucille Ball revealed that Ellen was her own mother’s mother two lifetimes ago. It seems the roles were reversed in a past life. That might explain why Ellen and her mother, Betty, who often appears on her TV show, are so close.”

We can’t even make sense of that last sentence. Why would Ellen being her own mother’s mother have any affect on how she interacts with her mother in this life? And, we also can’t seem to figure out why Lucille Ball would know anything about Ellen’s past lives. It can’t be that boring in heaven, or hell or wherever she ended up, to trace everyone’s ancestry.

Weinstein believes the 19-year-old, who has roles in both A Prairie Home Companion and the upcoming Robert Kennedy saga Bobby, could wage two Academy Award campaigns this year.

Weinstein, whose company is distributing Bobby…

You almost had me Harvey, up until the part where I realized you were distributing one of the films you think Lindsay should be nominated for. That was a good one. Nice try Harvster.
