Leave it to an enterprising San Diego-area Best Buy manager to make use of a handy laser printer and whip up a quick display offering customers the chance to memorialize the recently deceased Heath Ledger by purchasing an entire collection of second-tier movies in which the late great appeared (no disrespect meant to ‘10 Things I Hate About You’).
Anyway, we think that San Diego may be moving in on New York’s turf a bit too quickly here. If anyone deserves to profit from this tragedy, it’s the Best Buy locations near the scene of the actor’s demise, not some rogue in San Diego.

Reports are trickling in of the star-studded parties surrounding the Sundance Film Festival, taking place now in Park City, Utah. Seems the big action has been taking place at the 5W Escape Mansion, with paties hosted by Butters NYC and LifeStyles condoms (always a good time).
Anyway, we hear Paris and Nicky Hilton, Mary-Kate Olsen, Samantha Ronson, Cisco Adler, Simon Rex, Kim Kardashian, Reggie Bush, Chamillionaire all rocked out to the sounds of DJ AM. Check out the pictures below. We’re especially impressed by how suave Reggie Bush looks with Kim Kardashian on his arm.

Hot off the presses: Be on the lookout for an East Coast version of the Coachella Music Festival this year!
Word is on the street that:
“In addition having the festival outside of Palm Springs, like they do every year, this year they’re mounting an east coast version of Coachella in New York or possibly New Jersey,” an insider tells us.
The East coast version is expected to be a few months after the Cali affair. “It should be in August,” we’re told.

It may be a little premature to start looking for a hippie friend with a van and/or nice tent (I’ve already got mine), but something to watch out for.

If you’re not familiar with Jimmy Justice he’s a Queens resident that goes around with a video camera and records traffic cops breaking the law. Apparently this guy got one too many tickets in his life and was tired of the hypocrisy of the ticket monkeys doing whatever the hell they want whenever they want. Hurricane Dean slammed into New York today bringing with it unreasonably light morning rains and a cool 55 degree temp. While the so called “brunt” or “main part” or “real” storm is rumored to be mostly centered in Mexico right now, not being a meteorologist I can only assume that we are catching one of the freakishly long spiraling arms of this massive storm.
Stay tuned for further hard hitting hurricane updates here, your hurricane headquarters (no matter what CNN says).
